Bringing something unique to the maker scene— that’s definitely Madalynne’s workshop on how to make a bralette. On September 15, Madalynne is teaming up with Expect Lace to host a satellite class in the heart of Manayunk. From running the sewing machine to which stitches to use, Maddie walks students through each step so everyone walks away with a special piece. Learn to make a basic bralette – The Barrett, available in sizes XS-3XL – in less than 1 day! After the sewing is completed, students will receive a 1-on-1 bra fitting with lingerie expert and owner of Expect Lace, Shaw Lewis. Full details below. Saturday, September 15 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Expect Lace in Manayunk (4403 Main Street Philadelphia, PA)
Students will make the a basic bralette – The Barrett. The bralette is available in sizes XS-3XL. Prior to the class, students will be asked to provide their size (they’ll receive a size chart and instructions on how to measure) so that a pattern will be ready for them the day of.
Advanced beginner or intermediate sewing knowledge is required.
All pattern and supplies are included in class fee. Sewing machines will be provided for each student as well.
This will not be an ordinary sewing class; it will be a workshop event. There’s a lot of extras that go into the day. Just some of what you can expect include a lunch, treats, refreshments, swag bags, give away, photo ops and more.
