Galina is a monowire bra (View A) and panty (View B).

View A is a monowire bra that has vertical seams on the bra cups, fold over elastic along the edges, boning at side seams, exposed channeling, wide elastic band at the bottom, hook + eye closure at center back, and adjustable shoulder straps.

View B is a high-waisted panty that is finished with fold over elastic along the edges and has a wide elastic band at the waist. Both View A and View B feature cutout and strappy detailing.

Format

Pattern is available in A4, Letter and A0 formats. PDF features selectable layers that gives the option of choosing which size(s) to print. 

Sizing

Bra is available in band sizes 26-44 and cup sizes A/B, C/D, E/F, G/H for each band size. If you are above an H cup, please read this blog post to learn how you can make the Galina in your size.

To find the correct monowire size, first measure your full bust and underbust. Then refer to the size chart. After, refer to the wire size chart to find the corresponding monowire for your size. There is no correlation between classic/demi/plunge underwire sizing and monowire sizing.

Supplies

1 YDS Main Fabric: Fabric for all pieces. Pattern was designed to be made with stretch fabrics that have 8-20% spandex. Recommended fabrics are all over lace, stretch mesh, and lycra.

1 YDS Lining Fabric: Fabric for lining all pieces. Pattern was designed to be lined with stretch fabrics that have 8-20% spandex. Recommended lining for bra are mesh (band sizes 26-34, cup sizes A/B, C/D) and power net (band sizes 26-34 cup sizes E/F and G/H, 36-44 all cup sizes). Recommended lining for panty is stretch mesh.

7 YDS Fold Over Elastic, ⅜”-¾” wide: Elastic for finishing edges on neckline, armhole, top back band and straps on bra. Also used to finish edges on leg openings and cut out on panty. Approximately 4 yards are needed for bra and 3 yards needed for panty. 

2 YDS Wide Elastic Band, 1 1/2″ wide: Elastic for bottom of bra and waist on panty.

1 YDS Channeling, ⅜” wide:Channeling sewn to wire seam line and side seam. Channeling encases monowire and plastic boning.

Plastic boning, 7″ long:Hardware to go inside channeling at side seam.

1 Pair Monowire, size varies:Hardware to go inside channeling at wire seam line.

1 YDS Shoulder Strap Elastic, ¾” wide:Elastic for shoulder straps.

1 Pair Ring + Sliders, ¾” wide: Hardware sewn to the shoulder strap elastic.

1 Pair Hook + Eye, 3×3 wide: Closure that will be sewn at the center back.

Cotton Jersey + Snap Closure: Fabric + trim for gusset

Additional required supplies: Sewing machine with straight and zig zag stitch, polyester thread, microtex or stretch needle (size depends on fabric).

Additional optional supplies: 28mm rotary cutter, Odif’s 505 spray adhesive
