½ Yard 100% Cotton Herringbone Coutil: Black

$16.25

Coutil is most popular fabric choice for corsets. With hardly any give, coutil is heavy yet smooth. It is strong enough to hold up to metal corsets, but soft against the skin. It can be used by itself or with another fabric as a “strength layer”. Coutil comes in different types and weights, from plain herringbone weave to decorative brocades. The type of coutil most recommended is 100% cotton or cotton/viscose blend. Natural fibers are more breathable than a polyester coutil. Coutil is expensive because it’s not an in-demand fabric, but it really is the best when compared to other alternatives such as canvas or drill.

Non stretch

100% cotton, 58″ wide

Priced per 1/2 yard increment, if you order more than 1, it will come in a continuous length.
