My second book, Sew Underwire Bras & Corsets, is coming this holiday and you can preorder now!
I’ve been sewing lingerie for over a decade—which is kind of wild because I still love it just as much as I did when I first started. This is the book I wish I had back then. When I was first starting out, there were only a handful of people teaching bra making (shoutout to the OG, Beverly Johnson of Bra Makers Supply in Canada). Resources were few and far between, and the patterns that were available tended to be fairly basic or geared toward a more classic aesthetic. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, but I was always drawn to fashion-forward, modern lingerie. I wanted to make beautiful bras and corsets that looked like they belonged in boutiques, not just in my sewing room, and figuring out how to do that took a lot of trial and error. I also feel like there was a lot of gatekeeping, specifically the relationship between a body, an underwire, and the bra pattern. IMHO, this is one of the pillars are successfully sewing an underwire bra, and I wish it was talked about more.

While my first book, Sew Lingerie, covered a wide range of topics, this one goes much deeper. There’s no gatekeeping here—I’m sharing everything I’ve learned about sewing underwire bras and corsets so you can understand the fundamentals. I believe that having a strong foundation is what allows you to grow as a sewist.
The book includes five lingerie sewing projects, each building on the skills learned in the previous one. Best part that I know many of you will love – the styles are based on the Fiona underwire bra! So any alterations you have made to the Fiona, you can apply to these projects. Also, with every project, you’ll learn new techniques and a deeper understanding, so by the end you’ll feel ready to tackle even more advanced designs on your own.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing someone create a bra that fits beautifully or master a technique they once thought was out of reach. . Whether you’ve never sewn a bra before or you’re ready to refine your craft, this book will guide you every step of the way with clear, approachable instructions, fitting advice, pattern making techniques, and the methods I’ve developed through years of fitting and teaching thousands of people.
Let me know what style/project you’re most excited to make!
