Bralettes with Support: Bra Making with Madalynne San Fran Recap
I gave up a lot when I left a secure, corporate gig to pursue Madalynne. A pay check, a secure future… but what I gained in this new life has been much more. One of the things that I have gained is being able to travel and teach. I’ve taught in London, I’ve taught in Los Angeles, and last weekend, I had the opportunity to partner with Sewing Lessons of Redwood City to teach a satellite Bra Making with Madalynne workshop in the San Francisco Bay area. The stars aligned perfectly actually. Something that has been in the works for months, but I haven’t been able to share until now are 3 video tutorials with Creativebug that will be coming out in the next few months. The dates for filming were set back in spring, August 7 through August 9, when Isabela from SLRC messaged me on Instagram, “Hi Maddie, hope you are having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. We are a sewing and design school in the San Francisco Bay Area and I was wondering if you had availability/would be interested in teaching a workshop this/early next year.” I responded, “I’ll actually be in San Fran the week of August 6th…”
Last Saturday, an awesome group of women, all from the west coast and super pumped that I was in their area, came together to learn how to make the Madalynne X Simplicity 8711. This is the second workshop where I got to teach this pattern, and it was proof again that women with big boobs can wear bralettes. Every woman measured a C cup and above, and every woman left with a pretty damn good fitting bra. Just check out this IG post.
I copy and paste this line into every recap, and that’s because it’s 100% true – every class leaves me feeling pumped for the next. It is so fulfilling to see everyone so happy with their me-made Madalynne Intimates.
