Introducing Barrett and Macie: Madalynne Intimates New RTW styles

Introducing Barrett and Macie: Madalynne Intimates New RTW styles

A few days into February, the year’s “most romantic month”, I’m ecstatic to release 2 new ready to wear (RTW) styles. I’m also excited because this month is the 1 year anniversary of launching my first “true” RTW collection. Remember when I started a Go Fund Me Campaign to attend a trade show last year? You helped me make the first step and 12 months later, I’m still pushing my brand forward. You can say that I’m small, but I sure am mighty [insert bicep emoji here].

So what are the styles, where can you purchase, and what about the custom embroidered listings you see on the web shop? Read below!

The Barrett:  The Barrett is a basic bralette and matching low-rise bikini undie. The self fabric for both the top and the bottom is a stretch lace, and all pieces are lined with a nude stretch mesh to add support and comfort (unlined lace can be itchy and irritating to the skin for some women). There are three colors available on the web shop – white, light yellow and pale peach. Anthropologie is also carrying the Barrett, but offering a Madalynne exclusive color – metallic navy blue- and triple star embroidery that was hand stitched by the local artist, Amy Lanza of Words & Blurbs. Super cute!

Just like the Nina halter bralette, the Barrett is meant to be an every day lingerie piece. I wear mine underneath t-shirts (oversized and tight-fitting) as well as blouses and button downs. When it gets warmer, the fun pattern of the lace will lend itself to be worn underneath and peeking through oversized tops with low necks, armholes and backs.

The Macie: The Macie is a triangle bralette and matching undie. The self fabric for both the top and the bottom is a glitter stretch mesh. It was very important that this style was lined with a nude stretch mesh too for support yes, but more for comfort. Usually, I am not sensitive to fabric – I can tolerate a lot in the name of fashion – but even this glitter mesh was slightly irritating. The bralette has two rows/tiers of flounces and the bottom has three. Just like the Barrett, the Macie is also being sold at Anthropologie. Woo!

The Macie is definitely a special lingerie piece and is meant to be worn for underneath flowy dresses and skirts (it would show through tight pants unless it was jeans) as well as a gifting item for brides-to-be, significant others, girl friends, daughters, holiday/birthday/Valentine’s Day gifts. Whatever the girly occasion, pair Macie with a candle, candy, a cozy sweater or tee for an excellent present that isn’t, “You gave me underwear?”

I hope y’all like the Macie and Barrett as much as I do. I like them so much that I’m offering a discount. I want you to have have them in your life! Enjoy 15% off your purchase with code BRALOVE15 and 30% off undies with code UNDIELOVE30

I can already predict what you want to ask me – are patterns going to be available for these styles. Moving forward, I want to offer both a RTW version and a sewing pattern (and kits!) for all my designs. So, yes, Barrett and Macie will eventually be available as a pattern, but the release dates aren’t synced. It won’t be long! There was pattern testing going on at the studio for Barrett just last week!

Stay tuned this weekend for more Macie and Barrett. I collaborated with the local blogger, Macarena Ferreira, as well as Verb Products, Floss Gloss nails and Dr. Roebuck’s for a Valentine’s Day giveaway. I’ll also be back next week with full details on a very cool collaboration with Amy, who hand embroidered a select number of Barrett bralettes and undies with 3 hearts. Right now, you can check out the web shop to get a looksie.

Congrats on your latest RTW releases, Maddie. They look beautiful. And I was excited to read that you’ll be releasing patterns of these also!
