Itinerary
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1
Bienvenue à Paris! Arrive in Paris, check into the hotel, get settled, and meet your fellow sewing retreaters. This day and evening is yours to relax, unpack, and adjust to the time difference. Madalynne will be offering photo ops in an iconic Parisian spot for any student who wants pictures of their me-mades.
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 2
Fabric Shopping in Montmartre. We’ll spend the day exploring the fabric shops of Montmartre! Come ready to hunt for beautiful fabrics, trims, laces, and inspiration. I’ll help guide you through the neighborhood and share my favorite spots for finding those special Parisian treasures.
FRIDAY & SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 3–4
Sewing days at the hotel It’s time to sew! We’ll have dedicated sewing space at the hotel where you can settle in, work on your projects, ask questions, troubleshoot fitting issues, and spend the day surrounded by fellow makers.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included on our sewing days, so you can stay focused on your projects without having to worry about where to eat.
And the best part? Your project is completely up to you.
Bring a Madalynne pattern or DIY kit, continue a project you’ve already started, or bring something completely different. This is your time to sew what inspires you.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 5
A Parisian group adventure. We’ll step away from our sewing machines for a special group activity and experience Paris together. Activity TBD.
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6
Une Journée Libre. A completely free day to enjoy Paris however you’d like. Visit a museum, wander through the markets, shop, sit at a café for three hours, or simply get gloriously lost in the city.
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7

Hotel lodging is included for all nights of the retreat. Each student will get their own room with a private bathroom.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED
Except for our dedicated sewing days of September 3–4, Lunch and dinner are not included, giving you the freedom to experience Paris however you like—from a quick café lunch to a long dinner at a neighborhood bistro.
Materials for your project. You can bring a Madalynne project, one of your favorite patterns, something you’ve been working on for months, or a completely different sewing project.
Transportation to/from the airport and around town on your free days.
Fine print: Location of hotel and retreat will be shared after signing up. Refunds are not available. If you cannot make it, you can sell or transfer your registration to someone else.
