A busk is the front opening on a corset, and can also be called a front busk, corset fastener or opening busk. Busks come in various lengths and colors. This silver corset busk is made of stainless steel with one stud side and loop side fasteners, both mounted on a spring steel strip 12 mm (½”) wide that is coated with plastic to prevent corrosion. The busk is strong enough for tight-laced corsets.
