Description
Never sewn activewear before but want to dive into the world of making your own sports bralette? This virtual class in for you! Over the course of three sessions, learn the fundamentals of activewear that will set you up to move onto more intricate and complicated projects. Students will learn about different fabrics and trims for activewear, how to use your fabrics and trims to fit a wide range of sizes, minor pattern adjustments, cutting, and more. In the final session, students will sew and the, a size-inclusive style available in sizes XS-4XL), from start to finish!
The live workshop will take place on Wednesday, February 10, February 17, and February 24 at 11:00AM EST. The first two sessions will be approximately 1 hour long and the last session will be 3-4 hours long. The live sessions will be recorded and posted so that students can watch afterwards. There will be no expiration date to the videos.
DIY kits will be available once the class begins. To ensure the success of all students, DIY kits (which contain all materials for this class, including specially made fabric just for this class) are highly recommended for this class. DIY kits will not be needed until the 3rd session, on February 24th.
Pattern is included in class fee and will be included in an email confirmation after checkout (please be sure to check spam folder!).
Sewing machine with a straight and zig zag stitch is required. Serger is optional.
The week of the class, students will be emailed the course outline and a link to sign into the virtual classroom, which will be held in a private Facebook group. Students must have a Facebook account in order to take this virtual class. Students will have the ability to ask questions throughout the class via a chat box. After the classes, students will be able to post in the Facebook group their questions, comments, etc.
