Description
Never sewn swimwear but want to dive into the world of making your own bathing suits? This virtual class in for you! Over the course of two sessions, learn the fundamentals of swimwear that will set you up to move onto more intricate and complicated projects. Students will learn about different fabrics and trims for swimwear, how to measure themselves and minor pattern adjustments for swimwear, cutting, and more. In the final session, students will sew and the Lawren (a size-inclusive style available in sizes XS-4XL and cup sizes A-H), from start to finish!
DATE, TIME AND LOCATION
Wednesday, May 12th and 19th at 11:00 AM EST. Students will receive a link to join a private Facebook group, where the two sessions will be held. Each session will be recorded, so if a student can’t make the live session, he/she will be able to watch at a later time.
PROJECT
Students will learn how to make the Lawren bodysuit. Students can purchase a DIY kit separately in mid April or use their own fabric + trims. Lawren PDF pattern will be emailed to all students a week before the class (it is included in class fee).
Additional supplies students will need – polyester thread and microtex/sharp needle, rotary cutter, scissors sewing machine with a straight and zig zag stitch (serger is optional).
Lawren PDF pattern IS included in cost. There is no refund or discount if you already own/purchased the Lawren PDF pattern.

Beginner sewing knowledge is required.
