Make your own corset with Madalynne’s corset kit! Receive all fabric + supplies for Annette waspie or underbust corset. Annette is a simple, single layer underbust corset and waspie. It is a great pattern for all levels sewists to learn fundamental corset skills and techniques without worrying about fitting the bust. The pattern is drafted to give minimum waist reduction (1-2″) so that it could be worn as a foundation garment as well as outerwear. Additional features include:

• 12 panels (6 on each side)
• Busk at center front
• Optional waist stay
• 2″ lacing gap at back
• Bias binding at top and bottom edges
• Interior boning channels

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN CORSET KIT

5/8 yard black rose coutil (main fabric)
Split busk, 7″ for waspie or 10″ for underbust (for center front opening)
Spiral steel boning (10), size varies
Flat steel boning (4), size varies
1 yard grosgrain ribbon (for waist stay)
3 yards twill tape (for boning channels)
4 yards lacing (for lacing up the back)

*DIY kit includes everything needed to make the Annette except for the eyelets/grommets. Eyelets/grommets are specific to the type/brand of pliers or press you use. If you are new to corset making or don’t have a press or pliers, I recommend using Prym’s Vario Pliers and 4mm eyelets.  No other tools are needed except for sewing machine with a straight stitch, matching thread, and scissors or snips.
