Make your own corset with Madalynne’s corset kit! This corset kit uses deadstock fabric from Frederick of Hollywood, an iconic American lingerie brand. Receive all fabric + supplies for Annette waspie or underbust corset. Annette is a simple, single layer underbust corset and waspie. It is a great pattern for all levels sewists to learn fundamental corset skills and techniques without worrying about fitting the bust. The pattern is drafted to give minimum waist reduction (1-2″) so that it could be worn as a foundation garment as well as outerwear. Additional features include:

• 12 panels (6 on each side)
• Busk at center front
• Optional waist stay
• 2″ lacing gap at back
• Bias binding at top and bottom edges
• Interior boning channels

WHAT’S INCLUDED IN CORSET KIT

½ yard non stretch light pink lace (main fabric)
½ yard stabilized light pink bengaline satin (main fabric)
*Suggest to fuse both main fabrics together prior to cutting pattern pieces with a temporary spray adhesive such as Odif 505*
Split busk, 7″ for waspie or 10″ for underbust (for center front opening)
Spiral steel boning (10), size varies
Flat steel boning (4), size varies
1 yard grosgrain ribbon (for waist stay)
3 yards twill tape (for boning channels)
8 yards lacing (for lacing up the back)
Frederick of Hollywood label

*DIY kit includes everything needed to make the Annette except for the eyelets/grommets. Eyelets/grommets are specific to the type/brand of pliers or press you use. If you are new to corset making or don’t have a press or pliers, I recommend using Prym’s Vario Pliers and 4mm eyelets.  No other tools are needed except for sewing machine with a straight stitch, matching thread, and scissors or snips.
