Monet is a Merry Widow Corset + Panty pattern that combines elements of vintage lingerie with modern design elements. It is designed to be a versatile garment, and transitions seamlessly from a lingerie piece worn underneath clothing to outerwear layered under a blazer or a sheer top for a chic, edgy look. Ideal for lingerie enthusiasts and advanced sewists, the Monet allows you to create a luxurious me-made garment that combines both craftsmanship and style.

VIEW A: Corset features a semi-sheer lace panel in the center front. The side panels, made from a stabilized satin or lycra and power mesh, offer both comfort and a figure-hugging fit. The adjustable waist tab enhance the figure-hugging fit by cinching in the waist even more.

The supportive 3-part bra cup is designed to accommodate a wide range of sizes. Decorative stitching and foam on the lower cups adds unique detail.

Adjustable shoulder straps and boning along the bodice provide added support, while the hook and eye closure down the back provides an easy way to put the corset on and off.

VIEW B: The matching thong is made with coordinating fabrics. Its simple design complements the corset top without distracting from its details. Lace insert on the front, fold over elastic on the leg opening, and wide elastic on the waistline.

Available in A4, A0, projector and letter. PDF pattern features selectable layers that gives the option of choosing which size(s) to print. 

SUPPLIES:

Main Fabric: 1/2 yard all over lace, galloon lace at least 11″ wide
Must be non stretch or lined with a non stretch fabric

Combo Fabric #1: 1/2 yard satin, coutil, lycra
Must be non stretch or lined with a non stretch fabric

Combo Fabric #2: 1/2 yard power net or stretch mesh
Must be stretch

Lining Fabric: 1/2 yard sheer cup lining, bra tulle, 15 denier tricot

Fold over elastic: 4-5 yards, ⅜”-¾” wide

Underwire Channeling: 3 yards, ⅜” wide

Polylaminate Foam: ¼ yard, ⅛”-¼” thick

Shoulder Strap Elastic: 1.25 yards, ½”-¾” wide

Flat Elastic: 1 yard ⅛” and 2 yards 1″ wide

Closure: 1 pair, width should match the widths of the 1″ and ⅛” strap elastics

Rings + Sliders (for shoulder straps): 1 pair, width should match width of shoulder strap elastic

Sliders (for closure): 1 pair, width should match width of 1″ strap elastic and ⅛” elastic

Hook and Eye Tape: 1 yard

Boning: 3 yards plastic or spiral steel (lengths will vary0

Cotton Jersey: Swatch for gusset

ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES:

Required: Sewing machine with straight and zigzag stitch, polyester thread, microtex or stretch needle (size depends on fabric).
