Looking for lingerie stores in Philadelphia? The best lingerie store in the city? Philly is home to just a few intimate shops, but there is a new kid on the block that has jumped to the top of my list. I say kid, but I really mean a grown adult. With over 12 years experience in the lingerie industry, Shaw Lewis opened Expect Lace in the heart of Manayunk –  4403 Main Street. If you’re not familiar with Manayunk, it is on the banks of the Schuylkill River in the heart of the city. With a small town charm, Manayunk is a cute and quaint shopping destination when you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Rittenhouse’s big brand retail stores. Shaw has a resume that includes stints at Nordstrom’s and has been an expert Bra Fitter / Store Manager at several other high end lingerie shops. Shaw hopes that her 3-story shop is an one stop shop for both men and women. It is the only lingerie store in the city to offer cup sizes up to J cup and carries Tommy Johns for men.

When it comes to fit and customer service, Shaw is serious. Whether you’re shopping for your “first” bra or refreshing your lingerie drawer, you will leave feeling more supported. Guaranteed. Its selection is on point too. Every piece in the store is handpicked, and Shaw takes a modern approach to inventory. There are everyday basics and as well as special pieces by known brands like Natori, Chantelle and Wacoal. In additional to that list are brands like Only Hearts, Bluebella, and yep, Madalynne Intimates. Hanging on the racks is the Macie bralette + underwear.

Shaw and I have a laundry list of ideas for collaborating this summer, fall and holiday that we’re really excited about.
