A ‘Continental’ Bra Making with Madalynne Workshop
Excuse me while I step onto my soapbox…
Last Saturday was the 16th Bra Making with Madalynne workshop. Sixteen, woot woot! It was a ‘Continental’ Class with folks traveling from Virginia, Florida, Texas and California to attend. I’m blushing :)
Stepping off my soap box now…
At the beginning of the day, students are usually quiet. Maybe it’s the lack of caffeine, or the caffeine wearing off. Or maybe they’re not morning peeps? Whatever the usual case, it wasn’t this time around. Like love at first sight, we hit it off from the beginning. Kaneisha, Dari and I have a huge girl crush on Mimi G. Surprise, surprise, they’ll be attending her conference in June too! So excited to be seeing them again! Also, Dari was the winner of a Valentine’s Day contest sponsored by PFAFF. Thanks again to PFAFF for gifting her a spot. Muchos besos!
Everyone made the Madalynne x Simplicity 8229 underwire bra using fabrics and trims from my lingerie kits (currently sold out but plan on restocking mid May). The combo of the blush pink and neon yellow was divine. Just divine.
I was also super excited to offer students gifts from 2 sponsors. Rustic Gem gifted a pair of tassle earrings that I wore for the class and gave away safety pin necklace to one student. SmashTats gifted 3 temporary tattoos to students as well.
Just as the last 16, cheers to another great bra workshop. On to the next one in a few weeks! The May session will kick off my summer classes, where I’ll be debuting 3 new patterns with Simplicity and partnering with Spoonflower and C.Banning. That class is sold out but July and August (bodysuit!) still have spots left. Click here to sign up now!

I am with Kenisha. It was the best time ever indeed! I just bought a Bernina, btw, and am still thinking of the Pfaff machines we used at the workshop. :)
