The delicacy of fine lace and other couture lingerie fabrics are equal parts inspiration and intimidation to sewists. Working with these type of fabric, knowing how to handle it and what tools/methods to use is a wonderful technique to have in your sewing repertoire and can be applied to other areas of your sewing life. In this virtual class, learn the fundamentals – like what fabric and needle to use, stitch techniques, cutting tricks, and more. In the final session, sew the Madalynne X Simplicity S9729 slip using lace insertion to add a beautiful variation to the pattern. Elma from Elma Lingerie, who specializes in working with delicate fabrics for her own lingerie line, will make a guest appearance and give her industry tips and tricks!
