Will You Be Our Valentine? Bra Making with Madalynne Recap
I’m so, so, so excited to be coming back to the blogosphere after a break this holiday – first a trip to Florida to see my family for Christmas followed by a trip to Milan + Mont Blonc to spend NYE with Ryan and another couple. I missed posting and am glad to be back.
As the year rolled in though, it didn’t feel like a blank state. Instead, it felt like a continuation of a journey. I and I’m sure there are other who feel self-doubt if we don’t have big, bold, and ambitious goals planned. Am I doing something wrong? But it’s the little things that motivate me each and every day, and the day in and day out tasks that get me to reach my goal. When I cut out all the noise of trying to be the best, richest, fastest or whatever, that’s when I’m happiest and live an intentional life. It’s also when I do my best work. Don’t get me wrong, I have a bucket list of lofty goals both for my personal life and business, and I will work hard to achieve them, but I’m working at them for me, not to post on social. So when I think of this year, what I truly want is to feel a sense of stability that I only started feeling a few months ago. You see, after leaving a secure, stable job 2.5 years ago, my life was nutty. It was only this past year that I felt like I started to my bearings of this new entrepreneurial life. A solid vision of where I am and where I want to go. In 2019, I’ll continue to settle into a life that is in alignment with who I am, do work that is meaningful, give back when I can, and to fill my days with the things and people that matter most and remove everything else.
So far, this year is starting off to be great! Right on track. I released my 2nd online DIY lingerie class with Creativebug and yesterday, taught the first bra making workshop of 2019! Valentine’s Day came a little early this year – it was red and pink everywhere! The students, who ranged from sizes medium to 2XL, made the Barrett Bralette using this red swirl lace kit and sewed on various PFAFF machines – the creative icon™, passport 2.0™, ambition essential™ and quilt expression 4.2™.
If I wasn’t designing lingerie, I swear I’d be a legit hostess with the mostess. For lunch, we enjoyed red velvet waffles and fried chicken served with a raspberry and walnut salad, berry parfait, and Rose. For dessert, there was a chocolate spumoni cake with pistachios and rasberry buttercream. Food was served on Lenox’s Trianna Blush + Merlot collection, which was mixed with vintage glassware for the Rose and berry parfait.
The next workshops is in just 3 weeks! Another Valentine’s day theme! There’s a lot instire

You really know how to set a beautiful table. The barrettes look professional and are so feminine and pretty.
