Stripe Nation: Bra Making with Madalynne July Recap
What a day. What an event. What a great class. Last Saturday, July 29, I hosted another Bra Making with Madalynne workshop. This class and August’s will be bittersweet because in September, I’ll be moving to a new studio. I’m sad to go – I’ve made so many great memories here and met so many amazing people – but if I want to grow, I need a bigger and better space. I’m currently selling some of my pieces to get some fresh new furniture – I can’t wait to show you!
At this class, everyone made a Madalynne X Simplicity 8435 using a printed Sport Lycra from Spoonflower that was custom designed by C.Banning. Have you used Spoonflower’s SL before? It’s a great option for lingerie, active wear and swimwear. I was a little nervous that the print would be juvenile, but it worked. All the students used a combo lace from my lingerie kits and lined all pieces with stretch mesh except for one student who used a bathing suit lining.
An awesome surprise – I had a repeat student! Ezza attended February and May’s workshop and and was back again. She’s getting so good y’all. I’ll be seeing her soon too – she’ll be attending the August bodysuit class with her sewing posse.
Giving myself mad props for another great bra workshop. It was my 19th! The August bodysuit class is sold out, but I just opened registration for workshops this fall. Click here to sign up now!
