#LOTD: Lingerie Of The Day

make your own lingerie#OOTD… how about #LOTD. Swapping every fashion bloggers favorite hashtag (#ootd meaning outfit of the day for all you non fashion folks) for a more fitting one. #LOTD is my term for lingerie of the day. Yeh, I made that up. Now that the weather has taken a turn towards hot, hot, hot, my lingerie is making more of an appearance. No longer hidden underneath bulky sweaters (yay!), it’s peeking out of tees and being exposed via sheer and mesh tops. So, time to put extra effort into choosing the right underthings and ensuring they coordinate with your ‘regular’ daily ensemble. Putting a fool-proof look together that includes your lacy bits while also combating the sweat and stick outside can be a challenge, though — my 8228 is proving to be a warrior through it all [insert bicep emoji]. From happy hour ensembles (cheers to the freaking weekend!) to my all white weekend uniform seen here, my sky blue 8228 (purchase the kit here) has kept me looking fresh, literally and figuratively. The combination of the point d’esprit dots and the lace pattern, then mixed with the 1 1/2″ trimming at the top of the panty is… ace. Spot on. It’s cute and practical too. Why can’t everything in life be that way?

Thank you so much for making lingerie sewing not scary. I’ve been terrified to make lingerie. Although I have made a few undies, bras have been extremly intimidating for me. I bought all your patterns at joann’s and then as a creative bug member was ecstatic to see you there. I hope you continue to do classes with them. I’m buying a bra kit from you to make my first bra. Then I’ll also have something to compare fabrics and notions, to make sure I’m doing things right in the future. Thank you again!! I’m officially going to do this! Also thank you for the free patterns.
